Summer Learn and Work Program for Teens
AFGE Local 507 is thrilled to introduce its inaugural Summer Learn and Work Program for teenagers. This unique initiative aims to educate participants on the significance of unions, their bargaining power, and the legislative and political challenges faced daily.
Program Highlights:
Union Education: Learn about the role and importance of unions in today’s society.
Community Partnership: Work alongside community constituency groups to understand collaborative efforts.
Advocacy and Action: Gain practical skills in influencing change through action and advocacy.
Hands-on Experience: Assist in preparing our union office for relocation, gaining valuable work experience.
Program Details:
Eligibility: Teenagers aged 15-17 (current AFGE Local 507 members)
Application Deadline: June 21, 2024 (COB) EXTENDED JULY 5TH
Location: AFGE Local 507 office (Transportation not provided)
