AFGEs providing proposed Amended Bylaw changes. The Bylaws are what governs our AFGE Local. You will be given 30 days to review and attend a Special Meeting session Tuesday, November 12, 2024 before our regular scheduled General Membership meeting at 4:30pm.
There will be a vote on either accepting, amending or keeping the bylaws as is. Changes have been proposed to the Office of President, Executive VP, VP Legislative and Political and two(2) added new offices of VP of Professionals and VP of Non Professionals. ALL CHANGES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW printed in RED.
NEW OFFICES:
VP of Professionals this office is responsible for
Representation of Title 38 Employees- Nurses, Physicians, Dentists, Podiatrists, Optometrists, Chiropractors, Nurse anesthetists, Physician assistants, and Expanded-function dental auxiliaries (EFDAs) **(this office is not exclusive and will be required to represent Hybrid 38 (Title 5), Title 5 and WG employees which is inclusive of all employees of the bargaining unit**
AND
VP of Non- Professionals this office is responsible for
The duties of the Vice President for Non-Professionals shall include: Representing Employees who are Hybrid Title 38 (with Title 5 provision), Title 5 and WG employees (this office is not exclusive and will be required to represent Title 38 employees which is inclusive of all employees of the bargaining unit)
