Recently, we had several Title 38 nurses contact us regarding their requests for lateral reassignment which were denied or they received no response. If you have requested a lateral reassignment and was denied or received no response, to your request. Please contact AFGE afgelocal507@gmail.com.  

AFGE would like to echo Management's recent email for lateral reassignment as a Title 38 Registered Nurse. You can request a lateral reassignment. There are minimum criteria which must be met to be considered for lateral reassignments.

• An available vacancy must exist in the unit of interest.
• Meet basic and/or specialized required qualifications for the postions.
• Employees must be performing at an acceptable level of performance.
• Employees must not have any admonishment and/or reprimand actions on file within the past 6 months or a suspension within the past 12 months.
• Employees must not be on current leave restrictions.
• Employees must be in their current position for at least 12 months.
